TECEP exam

I have to take the tecep exam soon For tecnical writing I have looked over the course and understand it, but what is expected on the exam? Am I supposed to just create the topics in my head in this timed test? Or come up with my topics and memorize them hoping I can remember all the details? This exam doesn't very fair.

Hi Fernando,

Thanks for posting this! The exam will ask you to use the skills you have learned in the prep course, but the situations are mostly up to you. For example, you may get a question asking you to write instructions for a task, or asking you to write a newsletter to communicate an update. It doesn't matter what the task or the update is, as long as you can write it properly following the rules of Technical Writing. Does that make sense?

I took this in December and found it to be easier than expected. It's just like the practice exercises--create an email, directions, etc. I recommend doing it on something you are very familiar with, perhaps with your role at JetBlue. Pay attention to the word count.

Fernando, I completed the TECEP exam a couple of weeks ago. As long as you work through all of the prep modules, you'll be just fine. Good Luck!
