Hello everyone,

I am taking a break from study.com and taking a course on Sophia. I wanted to get feedback from those that have used the sophia platform. TIA

Hi Renaud,

I hated Sophia due to the 3 versions of instructors and the final was not easy to understand. i went back to study.com for that reason.

I took project management and wouldn't recommend taking it with Sophia.

Ugh! you are the second person to tell me this. I am making a switch due to issues with study.com

I love the study.com platform but dislike the spelling mistakes and errors in grading. I spent sometime collecting spelling and grading mistakes. I shared the info with JB scholars and study.com. I have always been able to prove my case because I retained proof for every issue and received credit on the things I mentioned.

I personally love the Sophia platform. everyone has a different way of grasping information so not every platform is suitable for them. I tried study.com when I first started its over load of information and a pull of 100 questions for the final. The problem with this is that when you are taking the practice and you incorrectly answer a question the retake pulls new questions. That did not work for me. The Sophia network has the three instructors and the readable option again is for your preference you can select your fav instructor or you can chose to just read the material. Again, you have options. Good luck on your studies.

I have been using Study.com since I started and I feel that the material they give you to prepare for the final test is not the material that comes in it. Did you feel the same way? Is Sophia any different?

Hi Renaud,

I have taken courses with Sophia as well as Study.Com. I think it depends on your studying style. Sophia has different teachers with their own methods and style of the material given. Seeing a different perspective on a subject can be very helpful. I found Study. com is a program that is very straightforward. The practice tests for each lesson as well as the chapter finals are very helpful to study for the final exam. They both have their strengths and weaknesses as any program does. Due to my work schedule, i liked Study.com because I am able to print up the note cards at the end of the course to go over the important points before testing. I would like to hear what your take is on this so hope to hear from you soon. If you have any questions on courses, please feel free to ask since i have takes such diverse subjects while in the program. Krysteen
