Hello!
I have only used study.com, and will be taking ethics either on straighterline or sophia next. Has anyone taken this course in any of these ? any insight into which one would be better?

Hi! First idea is for you to check out the Provider Info tab on the menu at the top of mydegree. This will give you an overview of both platforms. In a nutshell, StraighterLine is going to provide you with an e-textbook (or you can purchase a used copy on Amazon); you will read the textbook, take a couple of quizzes that are open book, and a final exam which is proctored on Proctor U. Sophia will provide videos and quizzes (challenges), unit tests (milestones), and a final exam (milestone); Sophia is completely open book. Reach out to your Coach for more details!

I highly recommend Sophia over Straighterline.
The course I did on Straighterline generally was read a 600 page e-textbook, and take a test. Where Sophia has things grouped into smalller units, open book tests, and multiple resources to review if something is unclear.
Definitely take anything you can on Sophia (I like it even better than Study.com due to the open book assessments).
