Hey Jetblue Scholars,

I just completed my first course and I had a few questions for people within the Liberal Studies degree program. 

I am being quite indecisive with choosing my next course.

What courses did you choose and why? I find that the brief descriptions listed for courses doesn't grant me enough information to know if I will be interested in taking the course. I wish that a course preview was available.

Is study.com your preferred method for course taking. I have only tried study.com. I read on this forum that Sophia is another preferred method as well.

Any other advice you have to share, I'm all ears.

Hello Jessica!

One of my all time favorite courses on Study.com was the Psychology 104: Social Psychology, and also the Communications 120:Presentation Skills in the Workplace. 

I tend to enjoy Study.com a bit more than Sophia recently because of the flexibility with the app! 

Hoping many more scholars will respond!

Hello Jessica,

I took my very first course on study.com and I’ve never used any of the other platforms. I truly enjoy study.com because they provide an ipad and mobile application which you can use to study anywhere. I also enjoy the flexibility with this platform because you do not have to schedule your final. You can take it as soon as you’re ready to and the entire process is very easy. I find it user friendly, and I love the watching the videos. The lessons are rarely longer than 10 minutes and they keep you engaged. I also love how most of the instructors present their lessons.

Also, when selecting a course, I also feel that the brief description in myDegree does not help me decide. I usually go to the study.com app on my phone, search for the course by name and skim through the different topics that are covered to see if they interest me. I never watch the actual videos, I just read the syllabus and do what I mentioned above and that is a big help in making my choices for a course. Hope this helps! Happy studying!
